Our Favorite Interior Design Trends for 2024

With a new year comes new dominating trends and experimental styles in the interior design world. Despite some larger trends sticking around, the new year always brings opportunities for a refresh. Looking to 2024, these are the trends we predict will be ruling the interior design world.

Cool Metals

Bright and reflective, metals are sure to make a statement in your home. Moving away from gold and warm-toned metals, cool-toned metals like silver, chrome, steel, and aluminum are going to have their moment in 2024. Marking a departure from the earthy tones that have dominated the design world for the last couple of years, metals bring an interesting element to any interior, adding light, reflectivity, and shine. We recommend mixing metal hardware and accessories to give your space a sophisticated and modern touch. You can cater the finish to your liking- opt for a brushed chrome or nickel for a muted look or choose a shiny aluminum to stand out.

When developing artworks, we often look to interior design trends to guide our path. Observing how metals were being introduced to interiors, we began experimenting with how we can add metallic elements to our artworks. By mixing a metallic powder into our ink, we realized we could create metallic shades out of all our ink colors. Created in-house, our metallic inks provide a unique take on metallics, offering gray, lavender, light pink, or copper undertones.

Our Currents embossings are a great way to incorporate a metallic element into your space. The light catches the metallic ink, illuminating the embossed design. Choose from rosewood, mauve, and pearl or pair multiple together for a shiny arrangement.

Many of our silkscreens have a metallic accent line, giving the artworks a reflective highlight. From Mini Screen Prints to Infinity and Eclipse silkscreens, the metallic touch is the perfect complement to any metals in your space.

One of a Kinds and Antiques

With the popularity of vintage furniture and accessories, one of a kind pieces are here to stay. Whether through furniture, pottery, dishware, or art, one of a kind and vintage pieces give your space a wholly unique charm and personality. Pair local handmade goods and sourced one of a kind pieces from other cities for a collected feel in your space that tells a story.

Our reimagined antique and vintage prints provide a new take on an old artifact. With silkscreening, textural application work, and modern printing techniques, we are able to enhance vintage photography and artwork, giving it a unique touch. For the Antique French Botanicals, we use prints from France in the 18th Century and apply a painted stucco to emphasize the dimension of the flowers. The Vintage Photography series is printed on handmade Japanese paper to give the prints warmth and depth.

Shades of Brown

Over the last year brown has positioned itself as the new neutral. Replacing whites and grays, brown is a more vibrant take on a neutral and it reflects the general color shift towards earthy and natural tones. In 2024 brown will take center stage, finding its way into interiors through wood furniture, textiles, and rugs. From a warm chocolate brown to a brighter caramel shade, brown is a defining color in many designer’s palettes.

Our walnut and espresso hand-stained frames are a perfect way to incorporate brown into your space. Our walnut frame has a cool undertone, with hints of gray and purple, and our espresso frame is moody and dark, the perfect complement to a bold piece of art. Shown on Revolve, the walnut frame grounds the artwork, providing an earthy element.
