The Reimagined Antiques Collection refreshes antique images, adding hand-applied elements for a modern handmade touch. Originally engravings from the 18th-19th century, the images are enhanced with color and texture to bring them to life. A departure from our abstract contemporary style, this collection stemmed from our appreciation of antiques and traditional methods of printmaking. We revived the antique imagery by introducing layered elements, complementing and adding to their original beauty. For the Antique French Botanicals, stucco is mixed with paint and hand painted onto the petals of the flowers, adding a three dimensional element and brightening up the original black and white engraving. We use our silkscreened color blocking technique with the Antique Bird Engravings, applying different shapes to frame the watercolor paintings and create intrigue. This collection is perfect for introducing playful pops of color to traditional spaces. Mixing old and new elements, this new traditional style is versatile and timeless, able to adapt to both classic and modern interiors.
