LendingTree Headquarters
Charlotte, NC
Services: Consulting | Art Curation
We had the honor of collaborating with KVID and Redline Design Group to create art for the LendingTree Headquarters. With an impressive new location, their goal was a combined living and working space boasting lots of amenities and beautiful interior design. Inspired by “resimercial” design, LendingTree desired a space that enhanced productivity and prioritized function, fostering a comfortable and welcoming workplace. With a 200,000 square foot building, there was a wide range of rooms and amenities to fill, each with a different design concept and feeling. This project was the first of its kind in Charlotte, North Carolina, and needed a powerful art collection to supplement the contemporary interiors and architecture.
Curating a collection with Kelley Vieregg of KVID, our objective was to make the employees feel inspired when they come into their workplace. With a project of such a massive scale, we wanted the art package to feel intentional, sourced for the project and tailored to each location. There are a different set of parameters when designing a workspace compared to a residence and we aimed to merge the two, creating an inviting space that didn’t look like a typical office where the LendingTree employees would want to spend their time. We created a variety of silkscreens, textural artworks, prints, and paintings to be hung in pairs, gallery walls, and individually all over the office. With a lot of variety in the art collection, we were able to give each area a different feel with the art, giving the appearance that the art was sourced from many different artists. We were able to simplify the process for KVID by providing her with a range of art in different styles all coming from the same place and same collective.
