Patchwork
Patchwork uses layered handmade papers and textiles to create overlapping geometric compositions. Papers and fabrics of different sizes and shapes meet, intersect, and overlap to lead your eye around the piece, creating shapes in the negative space. Each material used adds a different textural element to the piece, whether it’s the rough canvas, fibrous paper, or smooth silkscreened paper. With unconventional and surprising materials, Patchwork prompts the viewer to come in for a closer look to observe the texture up close.
