ABOUT THIS COLLECTION // JAPANESE MATCHBOOK COLLECTION
By repurposing vintage matchbook covers, we created the Japanese Matchbook Collection, featuring a mix of Japanese design with western Art Deco-style illustration. A dear friend had been holding onto a collection of vintage matchbook covers, purchased over 50 years ago while traveling in Japan, and thought Visual Contrast might know how to put the vintage beauties to good use. With a mix of illustration, graphic design, and bold typography, these vintage matchbook covers are playful, colourful, and timeless.
