Project Spotlight: A Custom Piece for Designer Meghan Kluth’s Home
We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Chicago-based designer Meghan Kluth of Moment of Kluth- this time on a deeply personal project. Meghan wanted a custom artwork for her bedroom and we were thrilled to help bring her vision to life.
Meghan envisioned a horizontal piece to serve as the focal point above her low-profile bed, setting the tone for a serene bedroom retreat. During our design chat, Meghan shared a few ideas and images of her space, providing inspiration for the size, color, and style of the artwork. Together, we landed on an abstract landscape concept that felt both moody and ethereal, painted with fluid acrylics on raw natural canvas.
To ensure the piece harmonized perfectly with her space, Meghan shared paint samples, furniture photos, and a moodboard for her bedroom palette. With her sage green rug as a starting point, we developed a dark green, gradient-style composition, bringing warmth and softness to the room, while tying together the different design elements.
We started with a few small mockups, experimenting with different tones and compositions on the natural canvas substrate. After sending those to Meghan for feedback and getting her thumbs-up, we scaled the design into a large statement piece, carefully matching all the color details from the approved sample.
The finished artwork now hangs perfectly above her bed, its deep tones and gentle transitions infusing the space with a cozy sense of calm and an inviting sense of sophistication. We love creating one-of-a-kind pieces that elevate everyday spaces. Collaborating with Meghan was a perfect fusion of artistry and interior design vision and we’re honored to have played a part in creating this personal piece for her home.
